This is the result of the meeting last July 5, 2008 held at Ninoy’s office at the SSC:

A. The body adopted/approved the ff:

1. All proceeds of the fundraising activities/solicitation shall be deposited to the account of the batch;

2. The body shall first concentrate on the homecoming activities on April 11, 2009 (Black Saturday) and April 12, 2009 (Easter Sunday);

3. No amount shall be withdrawn from the account except for expenses related to the April 11 & 12 activities;

C. The activities on April 11, 2009: Parade, program ( with other host batches), lunch exclusively for Batch 84, evening program ( with production numbers, raffle, dancing ). Catered lunch will be at the Social Hall; evening program at the parade grounds. April 12, 2009 is Family Day in Bacon Beach to be opened by an Easter Sunday Mass with Fr. Gerard.

D. Ninoy will set the next meeting for the month of August. Hopefully, by that time, all the committees can present their proposals.

I will post later the names of the 27 classmates who attended the meeting.

Hi Mike. The July meeting is very productive. Do we have plans for the fund-raising? SOurces of funds? Perhaps the Ways and Means group can explore pledges from our generous classmates? Like 500, 1000, 1000, 5000, 10,000 pesos? Any amount will surely help.

The first fund raising salvo will be distributionn of solicitation letters. I and Gerard are in touch and we will set the ball rolling before the week ends. Next will be about the souvenir program. Next will be the pledges. Can you draft the pledge form?

Hi Mike! Have you thought of having a registration fee for our 25th homecoming, you know this can be a source of additional fund for our batch. Some of our classmates may not be able to pledge a specific amount, but with the registration fee(say P50 or P100 per pax)everybody would be able to contribute.This is just a suggestion. Thank you!

Hi Mike. I posted the Pledge Form draft in my blog. Kindly check it out. I did not post the draft in SCAT Batch '84 blog to avoid confusion. I was thinking that you prefer to use the blog for final announcements only.

Eden, it is a nice idea. We will consider that in the meeting. Thanks.

i believe wala na registration because that is an additional burden for us and even to those who are attending the reunion. our batch will be the main host (co-host as per tradition are the following: 10th year anniv group, 20th year anniv group, gen alumni asso, alumni office).

as far as sorsogon group is concern, the following have committed already(the ball is already rolling here in sorsogon...with the target of at least 50T in sorsogon alone):

Noel Dio --- 2 thousand pesos
Danny Reyes -- 2 Thousand Pesos
Ariel Gealone --- 1 Thousand Pesos
Elsa Doloiras-Gredoña--- 1 Thousand
Potenciano Llaneta --- 1 Thousand Pesos
Ruel Jacinto --- 1 Thousand Pesos
Glenda and Ninoy --- 15 Thousand
Total is 23 Thousand Pesos (8 person pa lang po iyan)

For the Social Hall, I an Elsa committed already 2,000 pesos... fo the rent of hall, aircon, videoke)

for the Batch, I remain...

I agree with Ninoy. We'd rather not collect registration fees. Congrats and thanks to Ninoy, we are now having a clearer picture of the financial commitment of our Sorsogon group. Calling the Ways and Means Committes, this is a good start. Sorsogon's group action should inspire Manila group. And those abroad, send the dollars and the pounds :)
